Feliz dia los Padres! (June 22, 2015)

Happy Belated Fathers Day!
I hope everyone had a great day yesterday!!
So everything is going great!! It's soooooooooooooooooooooooo amazing to be back with Hermana Williams!!!!! She is so amazing and I am very excited to be back with her again!! Hermana Green has also been super great!! I'm excited to get to know her more! All the changes were a little stressful for everybody but I have a testimony of how we are placed with people by the inspiration of our loving Heavenly Father!!! So I'm excited to see the things I learn and ways I grow!

School is about to get out so we've been helping our investigator Yasmin out with homework with is super fun and the Elders and going to start teaching her dad Pedro! He is SOOOOO nice and always loves having us over! He gives us watermelon and mangos like every time we're over! hahaha Emilia (recent convert whos less active but probably the member who I have the closest relationship with, she's practically family to me) told us the other day that she thinks he would be baptised he just needs a little push! hahaha She's amazing!

Tomorrow we're having a dinner for Hermana Roos's farewell and that's gonna be weird and sad but also super fun because we're sleeping over there so we can sad bye to her in the morning before she leaves!!!

Weird thing that happened!! I contacted two Jehovah Witness missionaries the other day!!! hahaha I actually was on an exchange with Hermana Roos and afterwards she was like yeah I kinda thought they were but I just didn't say anything hahahaha! It was really cool though because they were super nice and very appreciative of what we do too! So that was weird and interesting!

What is possible to God?
I hope some of you guys thought at least a little bit about this question. Probably those that did thought the same thing of, everything is possible to God. And that is totally true! EVERYTHING is possible to God. But I'd like to ask two more questions, what is possible to God for me, right now, today, in my own life personally? and since everything is possible to God, what is keeping me from doing what He knows is possible right now in my life? I love all of you so much, and I want you all to know that we are only limited in the blessings we receive, the potential that we have, the happiness thats possible, by our own ability to believe in those possibilities and work to be worth to obtain the bounteous amount of things Heavenly Father has for us. He loves you all more than any of us even have the capacity to fully understand, but I know that because I have asked and I have felt it in my life. If the love I have for the people I have taught here for only 3 months and the love I have for my friends and especially the love I have for my family is only a small fraction of the love Heavenly Father feels, it is immense and ever lasting and more gran than I can imagine!
Also there is a Mormon Message you all should watch called "Courage" and it's about Ester and 3 other women and it's amazing! There's a quote in it that has been my favorite thing for the past week; "If I truely trust in God, it doesn't matter what I don't understand." Love it!!!
And love all of you!!! Have an amazing week!!!!

p.s. sorry my emails are always super random thoughts and things that happen! I'll try and make them make more sense! hahaha

Con mucho amor,

Hermana Christensen

Well that was a surprise!! (June 15, 2015)

Well a lot has changed since last time I emailed! And it was definitely a surprise!

So there's an english speaking sister who could not be in her companionship anymore and needed to be emergency transferred so the mission presidency decided that Hermana Roos(aka my amazingly fantastic only has like 2 more weeks in her mission companion) needed to be her companion. So she left me and now the areas are re-combined again and I'm with Hermana Williams(my amazing companion from last transfer!!!!!) and a new Hermana named Hermana Green! So that was kinda sad to see Hermana Roos go and to have the stress of recombining the area but it's what needed to happen and I know that it's all part of Heavenly Father's plan!! So I'm a little stressed out because I thought I'd have 2 more weeks with Hermana Roos (who knows the area perfectly and speaks/understands spanish really well) so she could help me out just one on one before next transfer where my new companion will most-likely come from the other area and not know the area oorrrr there is a tiny possibility that I will TRAIN A NEW HERMANA! (I'm not scared or anything D:) But yeah so that's basically what crazy changes are happening!

But I'm totally excited for this next couple weeks because I get to be with Hermana Williams again who is like pretty much one of my best friends and get to know the new Hermana!!!!! So I'm actually really happy and very very excited!!!!

So just really quick because I dont have a whole lot of time I'd jsut like to pose a question that my Mission President posed to us during a conference we had with him, What is possible with God? I invite all of you to ponder about this question and email me with the answers and thoughts you have! I also would like to invite all of you to watch or re-watch the video "Because He Lives" about our Savior and Redeemer Jesus Christ. I know that He lives. I know that He loves us and is with us in every moment of our lives! I love you all so much!!! Have a wonderful wonderful amazing week!!!!!
Hermana Christensen!

How Have I Been Out for 3 Months??? (June 8, 2015)

So Thursday June 4th was my 3 month mark!!! Cause that's crazy!!! (Tracy Morgan voice hahaha)
This week was pretty un-eventful as far as stories go!! But it was a great one!!!

There was a baby shower where we played games and one of them was to make a baby out of toilet paper and it was soooo hilarious!!! We also played a game where we all got neclaces and couldn't cross our legs or arms or hands or anything or someone could take it from you and this girl we visit a lot who's young but with kids was on the prowl for people crossing their legs and it was sooo funny. She kept going "Christensen!!! Help me out!!!!" hahaha so I had to be her wing girl and help her catch people hahaha

We finnished weekly planning under 2 hours which is crazy because it usually takes us like 4 hours in my last companionship!! I love weekly planning when it takes that long and we have all our lessons planned for the week and have people penciled in and stuff! It's super nice! I think I'll have weekly planning after my mission! hahaha
Well!!! Other than those things nothing super crazy happened!!!! I hope everyone has an amazing week!!!! Love you all sooooo much!!!!!!!!!

Another Day in Paradise!! (June 1, 2015)

Comps and I at the temple
So there's this maintenance worker in our apartment complex named Justin and every time we see him and ask him how he's doing he says "another day in paradise!!!!" And I love that and that's how I feel here!

NEW COMPANION
So basically my new companion is absolutely fantastic!!! Her name is Hermana Roos and she's from Idaho! I've realized I know quite a few amazing Idahoans...But anyways! So she actually has served 18 months but is doing a 4 week extension so I only get 4 weeks with her which is super sad because I LOVE HER SO MUCH!!! We both are just so excited and ready to work ALL THE TIME!!! We have already set so many goals for our transfer together and it's just going to be so amazing! We've already seen so many miracles! Like a member lesson that we taught where a non-member could be interested who just happened to be there listening and we taught exactly what she needed (ps we changed our lesson plan right before we went into the lesson aka the Holy Ghost is the best ever) !!!!!! And lots of less actives are coming back to church and AHHH I'm just so excited!!!
Also I live in the same apartment so I didn't have to move! We just not cover the south area of the ward boundaries and the other hermanas (my old companion Hermana Williams and a greenie named Hermana Green, yes it is hilarious please laugh).

YELLOW TANDEM BIKE
No that is not a code word or anything. We got to ride a yellow tandem bike that a pair of english sisters have so the day before transfers my companionship went to their house and Hermana Williams and I rode it through the park. It was amazing and reminded me of home. I miss our tandem bike. ahh!

PRINCESSES!!!
So the last Sunday of last transfer my companions and I decided we needed to dress as princesses in a non-chalant way so we did!!!! H. Williams was Belle, H. Duncan was Minnie Mouse, and I was Pocahontas! H. Williams braided her cool bracelet thing in my hair and it was the coolest!! We looked super awesome! hahaha

MADDIE CHRISTENSEN
So I had a really good friend my fall semester at BYU in my Anatomy Lab named, Maddie Christensen. so this said Maddie Christensen happened to be vacationing in this area and thought hmmm were in Irvine...Taylor is serving in Irvine...LETS STALK HER BLOG AND FIND HER! So they found out where I was serving and used lds.org to find the only spanish ward and came to my building and found me!!!!!!! It was the craziest and most amazing thing!!! I didn't recognize her at first because I think sometimes I forget that I was once not a missionary (i know super weird thought) but then I recognized her and just gave her a huge hug and she told me about how she found me and it was awesome!!! I'll try to send the picture we took
